Measuring for your Stealth Belt
To enable us to make your new belt there are 3 measurements we require to ensure it fits you.
- Your stoma Location: Right or Left
- The measurement around your body at the level of the stoma this is done in one of two ways depending if you have a hernia.
I have a hernia see fig: A
I do not have a hernia see fig: B - The diameter of your flange to allow the pouch to be passed through the belt
For a one piece pouch see fig: C
For a two piece system see fig: D
Stoma Location
Around Your Body
If you have a hernia lay on a flat surface for 5 minutes to allow the hernia to rest then take the measurement passing over your stoma as shown in fig:A.
If you do not have a hernia take the measurement standing above and below your flange and then take the average as shown in fig:B which would be 34″.
Flange Diameter
The flange diameter is the size of the hole made into the back of the belt to allow your pouch to pass through into the pocket of your stealth belt.
Example set of measurements
After you have taken all three measurements an example of this should look as below
Stoma Location: Right
Around Your Body: 34″
Flange Diameter: 3″
