The Stoma Stifler’s many advantages are not only due to its material, but also to its unique geometry. The tapered edge along the perimeter provides gentle flex, and contours to individual body shapes. Around the cup and along its spine, the Stoma Stifler has a thicker cross-section to withstand impact and protect the stoma. It is best to wear a vented pouch, or purge a non-vented pouch before use, to allow the pouch to sit flat against the body. The 2-pc magnetic clasp allows you to instantly put the cup on or take it off, so that you can opt to wear it only during those periods when you feel you need to. The Stoma Stifler can be used with any pouch system, both one and two piece.
The adjustable Snug Band is used to snug the Stoma Stifler against your body. The tension is adjustable and allows you to suit your own waist size and comfort level. Use the small Snug Band if you wear the Stoma Stifler mounted on your existing ostomy belt or existing hernia belt. Use the long Snug Band if you do not use an ostomy belt, and you instead use the tape method to secure the anchor plate to your skin.
