OstoBear “Billy” said come fly with me and 8 brave ladies did just that at AirKix (Manchester) on Saturday 7th Feb and returned with comments such as WOW, AMAZING, WHEN CAN WE DO IT AGAIN?.
So YES ladies you can do it again!! We are arranging another flight for you but come on Guys you need to make an effort it’s not just an adrenalin sport for ladies why let them have all the fun!! (we will not make you wear a pink hat).
We would also like to congratulate Rachel Clements (Miss Stomawise & Ostomy blogger) on her first stomaversary which she celebrated at the event as it was exactly a year since she underwent major surgery and became an ostomate and joined the “baggies” at which time Sky diving was something she did not even dream of being able to do, So it just goes to show that having an ostomy is not the end just the start of a new life.
We also raised a fantastic amount in sponsorship which will go to the OstoBear fund and the Caravan Appeal (total to be confirmed) so helping us to help our new ostomates both young and old to adjust to there new lives.
We would also like to take the opportunity to thank both John Rogers & Megan Brindley at AirKix (Manchester) and also Angela Kennedy from ConvaTec for there help and support on the day.
