OstoBear - The teddy with a Stoma
OstoBear is now available from Stomawise. Designed and manufactured in conjunction a leading Ostomy Underwear Manufacture to demonstrate their waist band products, Ostobear has now been made available to Stomawise for children undergoing surgery to allow them to have a cuddly companion throughout their experience in hospital.
We have also negotiated an agreement with a teddy clothing supplier so that you can buy from their range of clothing for teddies at a discounted rate. The teddies will be supplied in PJ’s and a waist band initially, which allows them to be dressed as you wish.
The OstoBears have a life like stoma (just like the real thing) and wear a paediatric pouch which can be removed and replaced for teaching purposes as they are fixed to the bears abdomen with Velcro fastening to allow easy removal/replacing of the pouch many times.
The bears are fully CE approved but not recommended for children under 36 months and are available to purchase in the Stomawise store and by Donation from Stomawise at the request of your stoma nurse providing they subscribe to the Stomawise HCP area of the site.
