Congratulations to Nicola Dames on the birth of her Son Andrew Lucas Dames.
Nicola the owner of “Vanilla Blush Ostomy Underwear” gave birth three weeks early by C Section.
Nicola had a very normal pregnancy and had no Ostomy/Pregnancy issues till very close to the end.
Nicola has an ileostomy and a mucous fistula, wee Andrew loved to kick the mucous fistula and he lay directly on it causing Nicola to suffer abdominal pain!
Nicola’s Consultant thought she was in labour but all the while it was pain caused by mucous fistula.
The Colorectal and Paediatric teams were all present at the birth of Andrew and the C Section went really well.
Nicola is recovering well and her mucous fistula is working again leaving her pain free.
Wee Andrew is thriving.
