We need your Support at “Take Steps Eastern Shore” Walk.
It was almost nine years ago when I Maggie Baldwin, was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called Crohn’s disease, also known as Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
Although many of us with this disease have a positive outlook on life, we go through difficult times facing the disease’s challenges.
Crohn’s disease causes inflammation and ulceration through the gastrointestinal tract. Its sister disease, Ulcerative Colitis, causes the same kind of inflammation in the colon. Thousands of people are diagnosed with this disease and, although it is usually not life-threatening, it is most certainly life-debilitating.
“Take Steps Walk for Crohn’s & Colitis” was created with the goal to help the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America create educational and inspirational programs while also researching to help find a cure.
This is why Cassie Lapera and I, Maggie Baldwin, have come together to create a team to raise money for Take Steps. We hope that we can help others in the future avoid the challenges we’ve faced, such as unpleasant medication side effects and invasive surgeries.
Please help us today by donating or spreading the word about “Take Steps and Team Ileoptimists”!
The “Take Steps Website and Donation page” can be found here please support us for the “Take Steps Eastern Shore” walk at “Winterplace Park (Salisbury MD)” on the September 22nd Walk start time 6pm (EDT)
